Unit 23. Regular and irregular verbs
Regular verbs
*The simple past and past participle of regular verbs is -ed.
clean → cleaned
live → lived
study → studied
I cleaned my room yesterday.
I have lived here for 10 years.
These rooms are cleaned every day.
Irregular verbs
*The simple past and past participle of irregular verbs do not end in -ed.

past participle | made | broken |
*Sometimes the simple past and past participle are the same.
find | buy | |
simple past | found | bought |
past participle | found | bought |
I made a cake yesterday.
I have made some coffee.
Butter is made from milk.
*Sometimes the simple past and past participle are different.
Somebody broke this window last night.
Somebody has broken this window.
The window was broken last week.
